The Coos Bay BLM, Myrtlewood Field Office has signed the decision to proceed with the Risky Biscuits and Bagels Timber Sale. The Risky Biscuits and Bagels Timber Sale consists of a total of 76 acres of variable retention harvest (EA, p. 20) in the Harvest Land Base.
The Baker's Dozen EA identified the Risky Biscuits and Bagels Timber Sale under Alternative 3 consisting of EA Units 9, 10 and 27. The BLM analyzed the Risky Biscuits and Bagels Timber Sale under two separate timber sale names, Baker’s Bagel Bites and Baked Biscotti. The two timber sales have been combined into a single timber sale.
The BLM will harvest a total volume of approximately 3.2 million board feet (MMbf) of timber.
This decision may be appealed to the Interior Board of Land Appeals (IBLA), Office of Hearings and Appeals, in accordance with the regulations contained in 43 CFR Part 4. Any appeal must be filed within 30 days after the date of receiving notice of this decision (April 15, 2026). Any notice of appeal must be filed with IBLA and must include a copy of the decision being appealed, a statement of standing, and a statement of timeliness.
