Introduction
August 9, 2018:  The three Richfield Field Office parcels considered in the June 2018 Utah Oil and Gas Lease Sale were offered for lease, and all three received bids.  The decision to issue the leases was signed today.


December 21, 2017:  In keeping with the Administration’s America First Energy Plan, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) today began a 30-day public comment on an Environmental Assessment (EA) evaluating offering about 3,708 acres of federal minerals in Sevier and Wayne counties (Richfield Field Office), Utah for oil and gas leasing. Three parcels comprising 3,707.75 acres within the Richfield Field Office (RFO) were nominated for the June 2018 Competitive Oil and Gas Lease Sale. These parcels were determined to be open to be leased for oil and gas development under the Richfield Field Office RMP.  This figure is comprised of 3,707.75 acres of federal land and 0 acres of split-estate land. The mineral rights for these parcels are owned by the federal government and administered by the RFO.  Please click on the "Documents" link to review the comments on the Preliminary EA, the Revised EA and Unsigned FONSI, and the Notice of Competitive Lease Sale.
