August 15, 2022 - Secretary Issues Decision to open Additional Lands to Alaska Native Vietnam-Era Veteran Land Allotment Selection

Please find the Decision Memo signed by the Secretary and the Federal Register Notice published on August 15, 2022, which opened additional lands to Alaska Native Vietnam-era land allotment selection under the Dingell Act, under the “Documents” tab. 
 

April 21, 2022 -  EA, Signed FONSI, and BLM Recommendation to Secretary Available

Please find the Alaska Native Vietnam-era Land Allotment Program Environmental Assessment (EA) and signed Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for your review under the "Documents" tab. The EA and signed FONSI are published with a Recommendation Memo from BLM that recommends the selection of Alternative C, which would open approximately 27 million acres of land to allotment selection under the Alaska Native Allotment Program. 
 

March 24, 2022 -  EA and Unsigned FONSI Available for Public Review and Comment

Please find the Alaska Native Vietnam-era Land Allotment Program Environmental Assessment (EA) and unsigned Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for your review under the "Documents" tab. The release of the EA and unsigned FONSI begins a 15-day public comment period closing on April 8, 2022. The BLM is reviewing public comments and expects to publish the EA and signed FONSI in April 2022.
