The TAPS is an 800-mile, 48-inch pipeline, that carries crude oil from the North Slope of Alaska to the Valdez Marine Terminal (VMT) and includes the pipeline and related facilities (e.g., pump stations, access roads and bridges, a fuel gas line, communication systems), and the VMT.
