09/12/2025 Update:

The Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and the Record of Decision have been signed and uploaded to the ePlanning website, as well as comments received during the Draft  EIS public comment period.

06/27/2025 Update:

Public Hearing PowerPoint Slides have been uploaded to the ePlanning website.

06/05/2025 Update:

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) announces the availability of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the Warrior Met Coal Mines EIS. The DEIS and associated documents are now available for public review below.

The BLM is seeking public input on the proposed project. Comments are encouraged to be submitted regarding the DEIS, FMV, MER, and on factors that may affect the FMV and MER Determinations. The comment period will end on July 21, 2025. The public may comment through any of the following methods:

  • Mail or hand deliver comment to the:

Please Note: The Public Comment Period is set to open on June 6, 2025, and comments will be accepted for a period of 45 days ending on July 21, 2025. The website will be updated accordingly on June 6th to allow for submittal of comments.
