Project Description

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) needs to respond to a right-of-way (ROW) grant application for renewal, amendment, and consolidation from Coos Curry Electric Cooperative, Inc (CCEC). The BLM proposes to issue a 30-year grant authorizing CCEC the right to construct, operate, maintain and terminate electric distribution power lines on public lands.

Furthermore, this grant would authorize and permit existing distribution lines that have not previously received formal authorization. During the assessment of this proposal, it was discovered that certain segments of the CCEC power line lack the necessary permits. The issuance of this grant will encompass these existing lines, ensuring that the holder is brought into compliance by permitting power lines that have been constructed without prior authorization from the BLM.
