Project Description

The BLM is reassessing a right-of-way (ROW) application submitted by the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) for a four-lane highway in Washington County, Utah that is commonly known as the Northern Corridor. The BLM has previously considered this application in a 2020 Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and 2024 Final Supplemental EIS. Through UDOT's further review of the alternative endorsed in the BLM's 2024 decision, the Red Hills Parkway Expressway alternative, they identified substantial technical and economic challenges. The BLM prepared an environmental assessment to identify a new preferred alternative and seek additional public feedback.
