Project Description

The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area (ONA) Comprehensive Management Plan (CMP) was prepared pursuant to section 202(c)(1) of Public Law 110-229. It describes the resources that currently exist within the ONA, past and present uses, and how the BLM arrived at the current management point. Most importantly, it will guide the management of the ONA for the foreseeable future to address a wide range of issues and needs.

What's New

The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse ONA Comprehensive Management Plan was signed by the BLM Eastern States State Director as well as by all other agencies and organizations responsible for the coordinated development and implementation of this plan on September 15, 2010. Additional organizations and entities involved in the Plan's development and implementation include the U.S. Coast Guard, Palm Beach County, the Town of Jupiter, the Village of Tequesta, and the Loxahatchee River Historical Society.
