BLM issues decision for the Thirtymile Recreation and Travel Management Environmental Assessment.
Today, Thursday April 17, 2025, the BLM issued a decision
record for the Thirtymile Recreation and Travel Management Environmental
Assessment. After careful consideration of the comments and input received
during the scoping and environmental assessment public review periods, the BLM
is choosing to authorize Travel Management Actions Common to All Alternatives
(EA, p. 12), Recreation Actions Common to All Alternatives (EA, pp. 12-14), a portion of Alternative 2 (EA Conservative Alternative, p. 20), a
portion of Alternative 3 (EA Balanced Alterative, pp. 25-36), and a portion of
Alternative 4 (EA Development Alternative, pp. 36-44), described as the
Selected Alternative. The BLM’s decision record was signed today and is open
for a 30-day appeal period from Thursday April 17, 2025, to Monday May 19,
2025. BLM’s decision will become final if no appeal is received.

comments on the EA you would like the BLM to consider, they must be received in
writing or via e-mail at the Prineville District office by close of business on
March 17, 2025. Comments can also be

November 24, 2021 - Thank you for your comments. The BLM is currently considering public comments received during the scoping period to finalize issues and alternatives to be analyzed in the Environmental Assessment. There will be another opportunity for public comment when the BLM releases the EA this spring.
