What's New

BLM issues decision for the Thirtymile Recreation and Travel Management Environmental Assessment.

Today, Thursday April 17, 2025, the BLM issued a decision record for the Thirtymile Recreation and Travel Management Environmental Assessment. After careful consideration of the comments and input received during the scoping and environmental assessment public review periods, the BLM is choosing to authorize Travel Management Actions Common to All Alternatives (EA, p. 12), Recreation Actions Common to All Alternatives (EA, pp. 12-14), a portion of Alternative 2 (EA Conservative Alternative, p. 20), a portion of Alternative 3 (EA Balanced Alterative, pp. 25-36), and a portion of Alternative 4 (EA Development Alternative, pp. 36-44), described as the Selected Alternative. The BLM’s decision record was signed today and is open for a 30-day appeal period from Thursday April 17, 2025, to Monday May 19, 2025. BLM’s decision will become final if no appeal is received.

To review the decision record or for more information on the appeal period, see the “documents” tab to the left.
