Project Description

The Bureau of Land Management is conducting a wild horse gather both within and outside the Lahontan Herd Management Area (HMA), located in Lyon County about 35 miles east of Carson City, Nevada. In coordination with the wild horse gather, BLM is proposing to temporarily close public lands within the Lahontan HMA Gather Area pursuant to the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976, as amended, and 43 CFR §8364.1.
