Proposal
As part of its ongoing work to support American energy independence and strengthen national security by reducing our reliance on foreign oil, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Utah State Office has posted a proposed list of parcels for an upcoming internet-based quarterly competitive oil and gas lease sale.  BLM-Utah plans to offer for lease nine parcels covering 14,943 acres in the Fillmore Field Office, with the lease sale scheduled for September 12, 2017.   All nine parcels are identified as available to oil and gas leasing under the current resource management plan for the Field Office. More information about the parcels, including maps, the environmental assessment, and unsigned Finding of No Significant Impact can be found on the "documents" and "maps" pages of this project web page.

The nine lease parcels are located west of Nephi, in Juab County, Utah.  All nine parcels lie west of Interstate 15 and encompass parts of the area known as the “West Hills”, Sage Valley, and Spring Canyon.
