The four RODs/RMPs provide future direction for 6.5 million acres of public land including the White Mountains National Recreation Area, the Steese National Conservation Area, and the Fortymile area. The White Mountains ROD/RMP replaces the 1986 White Mountains National Recreation Area RMP and the Steese ROD/RMP replaces the 1986 Steese National Conservation Area RMP. The Fortymile ROD/RMP replaces the 1980 Fortymile Management Framework Plan and includes management direction for scattered BLM lands along the highway system not previously covered by a land use plan. The Draanjik ROD/RMP provides management direction for 2.36 million acres not previously covered by a land use plan in the Draanjik (upper Black River) region.
