Project Description

The Bureau of Land Management is proposing less than 70 acres of forest management activities within the Little Butte Creek watershed on BLM-administered land. Forest management treatments would consist of both commercial harvest and non-commercial fuels treatments using integrated vegetation management to achieve project objectives. Integrated forest management actions in the dry forests of southwestern Oregon are intended to achieve goals that develop fire and disease resilient stands, promote heterogeneity and emulate the historic function of fire (USDI BLM. 2016b pp. 68-69).
