The Rio Puerco Management Plan (RMP) has been prepared to provide a comprehensive framework for managing the public lands and for allocation resources in the Rio Puerco Resource Area (RPRA) during the next ten to twenty years. All resource uses and activities in the RPRA will be consistent with the objectives and decisions described in the RMP> The RMP was prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act (FLPMA) of 1976 and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969.

It was amended in 1992 and can be found at the following link: RPFO RMP-AMENDMENT, 1992
