What's New
July 25, 2017 - The Finding of No Significant Impact and Decision Record have been signed.  The appeal period will end on August 24, 2017.

May 30, 2017 - The Protests have been resolved and the Protests and Responses have been added to the "Documents" Page.

Twenty parcels (23,733.19 acres) within the jurisdiction of the RFO have been referred to the Richfield Field Office for sale in the June 2017 oil and gas lease sale to be held by the BLM USO.  The proposed parcels would be offered for lease with resource protection measures (lease stipulations) consistent with the RFO RMP (BLM, 2008). Legal descriptions of each parcel can be found in Appendix A, and a map of the proposed parcels can be found in Appendix B. All of the acreage proposed to be leased has been identified as being either open to leasing subject to standard lease terms, open to leasing subject to minor constraints, such as seasonal restrictions, or open to leasing with no surface occupancy (NSO) in the RFO RMP
This website provides the latest information on this project. Throughout the NEPA process, this website will be updated to include background documents, maps, meeting announcements, published bulletins, and other documents as applicable.  Using the contact information listed below, individuals and organizations must submit a written statement to the BLM indicating their interest to serve as a consulting party in the proposed project's Section 106 process.  For instructions on how to navigate and use this site, review the Video Tutorial in the upper right corner.

The BLM manages more than 245 million acres of public land, the most of any Federal agency.  This land, known as the National System of Public Lands, is primarily located in 12 Western states, including Alaska.  The BLM also administers 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estate throughout the nation.  The BLM's mission is to manage and conserve the public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations under our mandate of multiple-use and sustained yield.  In Fiscal Year 2015, the BLM generated $4.1 billion in receipts from activities occurring on public lands.
