Project Description

American Mining and Reclamation, LLC (AMR), proposes to operate a manganese tailings reprocessing operation at the former Mohave Mining and Milling site. The project would take crushed, stockpiled and previously processed material that was mined from nearby manganese mines and reprocess them utilizing wet magnetic and gravity separation methods. Both the heavy and light fractions of the reprocessed material would be shipped off site for further processing and recovery of valuable minerals. Upon completion of reprocessing activities, all structures and equipment would be removed from the site, and any remaining material that was not reprocessed would be regraded to match the existing contours.
