January 29, 2025 - the public scoping period for the preliminary parcel list and applied stipulations for the proposed Quarter 3 lease sale will be open from January 29 - March 3, 2025.
To the extent you submit exhibits or attachments to any submitted public comment, you must provide a summary of the attached documents, and explain why they are important for us to consider. If the submittal fails to include the requested summary, BLM may not consider any information in the exhibits or attachments during its decision-making process.

Listed below is the tentative timeline for the Montana-Dakotas Oil and Gas Lease Sale. All documents associated with this Lease Sale are posted under the documents link on the left hand side of your screen.
The USFS stipulation maps, GIS data, and PDF Maps can be found on the 'Maps' link on the left hand side of the screen.

*Shapefiles are available however, parcel acreage is most accurately reflected on Appendix A and Sale Notice.

***An amendment was issued August 28, 2025. Amendment Notice No. 1 has three parts: 1) Leasing stipulations are amended in parcels ND-2025-09-0779 and ND-2025-09-0780. 2) Leasing mineral interest is amended for parcel ND-2025-09-0778 3) Leasing royalty rates are amended for ALL parcels. Pertinent associated documents such as Appendix A have been updated.
***An amendment was issued September 8, 2025. Amendment Notice No. 2. Forest Service parcel number and leasing stipulation are amended for parcels ND-2025-09-6805 and ND-2025-09-6806. Updates to pertinent associated documents such as Appendix A will be located in the documents under Amendments and Final Sale Documents.
