Project Description

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) proposes to authorize Nature Photography Collective, Action Photo Tours, and Muench Workshops LLC to provide photography workshops in various locations within the Monticello Field Office (MtFO) and Bears Ears National Monument (BENM) under Special Recreation Permits (SRP). Nature Photography Collective would offer four-day trips in the BLM Moab Field Office (MbFO) and MtFO, with three photography locations in the Chicken Corners and Anticline Overlook areas, and one camping location along the Chicken Corners Road (see map). Portable toilets and removal of human waste would be required for vehicle-based camping. Group size would be limited to twelve people. Because the majority of Nature Photography Collective’s use would be in MbFO, that office would administer the permit. Muench Workshops LLC would offer a drone photography class at Raplee Ridge. Group size would be limited to eight people, with no overnight use. Action Photo Tours would offer workshops at Mexican Hat and around the Valley of the Gods. Group size would be limited to eight people, with no overnight use.
