Geographic Information Systems Data - Southeastern Oregon Approved Resource Management Plan Amendment
Welcome to the BLM's ePlanning page to access Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data for Southeastern Oregon Approved Resource Management Plan Amendment. These instructions are meant to assist with viewing the GIS data for the Southeastern Oregon Resource Management Plan Amendment and Record of Decision (ROD).
Appendix B (under "Documents", "Southeastern Oregon Record of Decision and Approved RMP Amendment and Appendices" to the left) and individual "static" map files (Adobe pdf format under "Maps") provide all maps pertinent to the Amendment and ROD. Once there, scroll down to "Southeastern Oregon Record of Decision and Approved RMP Amendment and Appendices" to review all static maps from Appendix B.
Static maps provided in the May 2019 Draft RMP Amendment/Draft EIS, Appendix M continue to be available for reference on this web site. Maps of the No Action Alternative and Alternatives A-D provided in May, 2019 for the Draft RMP Amendment/Draft EIS are provided under "Documents", SEORMP Draft RMP and Draft EIS, Appendix M.
Static maps provided in the May 2023 Proposed RMP Amendment/Final EIS, Appendix M continue to be available for reference on this web site. Maps of the No Action Alternative and Alternatives A-D provided in June, 2023 for the Proposed RMP Amendment/Final EIS are provided under "Documents", Proposed SEORMP Amendment and Final EIS, Appendix M.
GIS data were used in much of the analysis of impacts among the alternatives in the Draft and Final Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) and the ROD. The available data, from this SEORMP Amendment were created using ESRI®ArcMap and ESRI® ArcCatalog. These data can be viewed in ESRI® ArcGIS or in ESRI® ArcPro.
The Southeastern Oregon Approved Resource Management Plan Amendment and ROD resource designations are now available in the files, and may be downloaded. The SEORMPA Planning Area boundary is also included.
Additional detail for downloading and use of the data in ESRI® ArcMap/ArcGIS software is provided in the "SEORMP ROD/Amendment Download GIS Instructions" document. This document summarizes the process to download and access the metadata (documentation about the spatial data) for each of the allocations analyzed in the PRMPA and Alternatives. Once downloaded, extracted and loaded on your system, a set of "Layer Packages" can be added to your ArcMap/ArcGIS® software for viewing and use.
For users who do not have access to ArcMAP/ArcGIS® Oregon/Washington BLM Corporate "base" data (including ownership, roads, Special Management Areas, grazing allotment and pasture boundaries, streams, etc.) and the PRMPA (and Alternatives) allocation data and the Planning Area Boundary may be viewed online at the following path:
The data and metadata for the Southeastern Oregon Proposed RMP Amendment and alternatives for allocations, along with the planning boundary and completed Standards for Rangeland Health may be downloaded at Oregon/Washington's GIS web page, here:
