              Virtual Public Meetings

The health and safety of the public and our employees remains a high priority for the DOI, therefore in lieu of in-person meetings during the global pandemic, the BLM and BIA developed five virtual public meetings using the Zoom application to minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission.  The meeting were accessible via the internet through Zoom as well as the BLM New Mexico Facebook page, and were also accessible by telephone.  During the meetings, the public heard an overview of the Farmington Mancos-Gallup RMPA/EIS project and planning area, the EIS process, how to review the document, and how to provide comments.

The meetings were held at the following times:

·       Thursday, May 14, 2-4 p.m.

·       Friday, May 15, 9-11 a.m.

·       Friday May 15, 2-4 p.m.

·       Saturday, May 16, 9-11 a.m.

·       Monday, May 18, 9-11 a.m.

The health and safety of the public and our employees is our highest priority. To support the administration’s call for action aimed at slowing the spread of the disease and to be a good neighbor to our isolated communities, the BLM is working within rapidly evolving guidance and state and local health authorities to minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission while delivering our services to the greatest extent practicable. As such, we have developed five virtual public meetings using the Zoom application which is free to download and use. We will also be using Facebook Live (@BLMNewMexico) for users to follow the presentations online. And, we are offering a phone-only option as well.
