How to Get Involved
Protest Period: December 1, 2017 - January 2, 2018
The March 2018 Notice of Competitive Lease Sale (NCLS) protest period is from December 1, 2017 to January 2, 2018. The public comment period on the EA closed on October 23, 2017. The protest period is regarding the NCLS and its corresponding parcel list.
Written protests may be mailed, hand carried or faxed (801-539-4237) to the Utah State Office, attention Sheri Wysong by 4:30 pm on January 2, 2018. Specific instructions for filing a protest are contained within the NCLS. The NCLS is available online at the BLM Utah’s oil and gas leasing webpage (https://www.blm.gov/programs/energy-and-minerals/oil-and-gas/leasing/regional-lease-sales/utah) and in the BLM Utah State Office’s public room located 440 West 200 South, Suite 500, Salt Lake City, Utah. Emailed protests are not acceptable.
