How to Get Involved
A Record
of Decision (ROD) is the final step of the NEPA process. The ROD/Approved RMP
is a document that states:
·
What the decision is;
·
Identifies the alternatives
considered, including the environmentally preferred alternative;
·
Discusses mitigation plans,
including any enforcement and monitoring commitments.
·
Discusses factors, including
considerations of national policy, that were contemplated when it reached its
decision on whether to, and if so how, to proceed with a proposed action.
This ROD/Approved
RMP would not have been possible without the public engagement starting in the
spring of 2016 and continuing through the winter 2020.
