December 2018 Utah Oil and Gas Lease Sale

The 30-day appeal period ended on March 9, 2019. 

2019-02-08.  Protests to the inclusion of parcels in the December 2018 Oil and Gas Lease Sale have been resolved. 

There were originally a total 222 parcels being considered for lease and one suspended lease and two sold but not issued leases.  The breakdown for each Field Office was as follows:
Vernal Field Office:  159 (one parcel was removed for administrative reasons)
Price Field Office:  18
Moab Field Office:  16
Monticello Field Office:  21
Salt Lake Field Office:  9
Richfield Field Office:  2

To comply with a Preliminary Injunction entered on September 21, 2018, by the United States District Court, District of Idaho W. Watersheds Project v. BLM, No. 1:18-cv- 00187-REB, this sale does not include 116 parcels that intersect with Greater Sage Grouse Priority and General Habitat Management Areas.
