April 2023 Haines Amendment Maintenance Action Summary (also available on the Ring of Fire RMP project page)

This maintenance action revised the acreage of the Special Recreation Management Area (SRMA) to add 14-acres of land relinquished from State of Alaska selection.

2022 Haines Amendment Maintenance Action Summary

This maintenance action made a revision to the ARMPA to clarify years 1 through 4 specifically for summer helicopter supported commercial recreation landings. This April 2022 maintenance action identifies 2022 as the first year of a four-year operating period (2022-2025) rather than the 2020-2023 timeframe originally identified in the 2020 ARMPA. The maintenance action to revise the plan was made because no permits were issued for summer helicopter supported recreation landings in 2020 or 2021 as anticipated upon signing the Record of Decision, due to the pandemic. Additionally, the maintenance action to revise years 1 through 4 provides the opportunity for SRP holders to demonstrate use over a four-year period while also allowing four years of mountain goat monitoring.
