Documents

The Mt. Hood National Forest and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Northwest Oregon District Cascades Field Office have completed a final comprehensive river management plan and Environmental Assessment (EA) for nine rivers as part of the Wild and Scenic River Planning project. The BLM has signed the Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) and Decision Record for this project and it is now available (Jan 13, 2022). The Forest Service is the lead agency for this project and the BLM is a cooperating agency. Of the nine rivers, the South Fork Clackamas Wild and Scenic River corridor is the only river corridor which includes both National Forest System and BLM-administered lands. This BLM FONSI only covers project implementation for the management plan on BLM-administered lands. The EA, comprehensive river management plan, signed FONSI, and Decision Record are available below. The Forest Service Decision and signed FONSI are available at the project website: https://www.fs.usda.gov/project/?project=54674.
