How to cite the RMP
If you wish to cite the Lake Havasu Resource Management Plan (RMP), i.e., the document that contains the management guidance and land use planning decisions that determine how the public lands in the Lake Havasu Field Office are managed, the RMP became effective on date that the Record of Decision was signed by the BLM Arizona State Director (May 10, 2007). If the RMP is amended by subsequent documents, "BLM 2007" remains the correct citation.
However, if the citation is for the Final EIS for the RMP - that is, the analysis completed in support of the RMP, cite the date that the Final EIS was published (September 2006), and cite the full name of the EIS (see below).
Citation for the RMP:
BLM. 2007. Lake Havasu Field Office Record of Decision and Approved Resource Management Plan. Lake Havasu Field Office. Signed May 10, 2007.
Citation for the Final EIS:
BLM. 2006. Lake Havasu Field Office Proposed Resource Management Plan and Final Environmental Impact Statement. Lake Havasu Field Office. September 2006.
