Description: The road and route network in the Draft Western Mojave Plan Amendment, as released on March 16, 2018. These data were used for overlay analysis with resources data to compile the information found in tables 3 and 4 of the draft Plan. It is intended to represent the route network as developed in the Western Mojave Plan Amendment released on 2006, although some corrections have been made to the original source to more accurately reflect the network on the ground, mostly geometric. Be aware that an earlier version of this data was used to fill in tables 2.4-2, 4.1-1 through 6, and that this version contains *approximately* 14 fewer miles of motorized routes because duplicate routes were found and removed.Field Information:- TLFIMPDesignation: The primary designation for the route. - TLFIMPSubdesignation: Secondary designations for the route. - WEMO_ID: unique id of route segment intended for use in table joins and communicating with the public as to which segment to which is being referred.- WEMO_SubID: sub-segments of WEMO_ID used for issues in route splits and analysis.

Description: This polygon feature class shows the spatial extent and boundaries of Areas of Critical Environmental Concern that have become officially designated by the BLM. These polygon features were previously in a pre-designated status (i.e. being considered as areas to be eventually designated as official ACEC designated polygons). Once these polygon feature left the Pre-Designated phase (transitioned from a Considered to Designated status), they were removed from the ACEC Pre-designated polygon feature class and placed in this ACEC Designated polygon feature class. This state dataset may have published a dataset that is more current than the National dataset; there may be geometry variations between the state and national dataset which may have different results. The national dataset is updated following the data standard schedule
Description: This polygon feature class represents the spatial extent and boundaries of BLM National Landscape Conservation System (NLCS) Wilderness Areas. This state dataset may have published a dataset that is more current than the National dataset; there may be geometry variations between the state and national dataset which may have different results. The national dataset is updated following the data standard schedule.

Description: This polygon feature class represents the spatial extent and boundaries of the BLM National Landscape Conservation System (NLCS) National Monuments, National Conservation Areas and Similar Designations.BLM only has authority in these boudaries on identified BLM surface and subsurface lands identified on Master Title Plats. This state dataset may have published a dataset that is more current than the National dataset; there may be geometry variations between the state and national dataset which may have different results. The national dataset is updated following the data standard schedule.
Description: Description: The polygon layer was constructed using scans of the final original 1979 series of maps and by consulting the "Wilderness Inventory, Final Descriptive Narratives", March 31, 1979. There is a seperate map series and narrative for the CDCA administrative area and the remainder of BLM California. Segments of each WIU were captured by copying the required piece of GTLF road, Railroad, GCDB/PLSS, etc. Specific Buffers around designated roads & RR do not exist for WIUs (same as WSAs), but a nominal buffer of 5ft was used to represent the road or RR width in this layer. Subseqent review of the original 1979 WIU can result in new subdivisions (and findings) of the original roadless units, but the original unit polygon boundary should still exist.
Description: This polygon feature class represents the spatial extent and boundaries for BLM Grazing Allotments. This state dataset may have published a dataset that is more current than the National dataset; there may be geometry variations between the state and national dataset which may have different results. The national dataset is updated following the data standard schedule.
Description: The SMA implementation is comprised of one feature dataset, with several polygon feature classes, rather than a single feature class. SurfaceManagementAgency: The Surface Management Agency (SMA) Geographic Information System (GIS) dataset depicts Federal land for the United States and classifies this land by its active Federal surface managing agency. A Federal SMA agency refers to a Federal agency with administrative jurisdiction over the surface of Federal lands. Jurisdiction over the land is defined when the land is either: Withdrawn by some administrative or legislative action, or Acquired or Exchanged by a Federal Agency. The GIS data contained in this dataset represents the polygon features that show the boundaries for Surface Management Agency and the surface extent of each Federal agencyâs surface administrative jurisdiction. SMA data depicts current withdrawn areas for a particular agency and (when appropriate) includes land that was acquired or exchanged and is located outside of a withdrawal area for that agency. The SMA data do not illustrate land status ownership pattern boundaries or contain land ownership attribute details. This layer is also updated whenever BLM is notified that Lands have been acquired by other Federal Agencies. For addtional information regarding an acquistion search the Bureau's LR2000 system:The LND_SurfaceEstate data is edited and maintained in a single polygon feature class. Whenever possible, BLM lands are constructed from the Public Land Survey System (PLSS), also available to the public (PublicLandSurvey.gdb). Alignment of BLM data with the PLSS is a continual process, as the accuracy and density of PLSS data continues to improve and develop. Issues of misalignment with the PLSS are more common with non-BLM management areas. These discrepancies are being addressed at the BLM California State office based on U.S. Department of Interior priorities throughout the State of California.
