Project Description

In June 2026, the BLM signed a Decision Record adopting the USFS NEPA to allow leasing on the Conecuh National Forest. You can view that project here: https://eplanning.blm.gov/Project-Home/?id=812EFD97-DA68-F111-A824-001DD804183B. You can also view the leasing availability EA and Decision Record in the Documents tab.

The BLM will be offering 5 parcels on the Conecuh NF for the March 2027 oil and gas lease sale and will be doing a Determination of NEPA Adequacy. The legal descriptions for the Conecuh parcels are available in the Documents tab.

These parcels will be offered along with the 6 split estate parcels, analyzed in the EA DOI-BLM-Eastern States-J000-2026-0013-EA, and the parcel on Department of Defense land on the Barksdale Air Force Base in DNA DOI-BLM-Eastern States-J000-2026-0014-DNA.
