2002 Southeastern Oregon Resource Management Plan
The 2002 Southeastern Oregon Resource Management Plan is the guiding land management for the BLM's Malheur Field Office, Oregon. In 2015, the SEORMP was amended by the Oregon Approved RMP Amendment for Greater Sage-grouse. This new proposed amendment is developed to address a Settlement Agreement reached in 2010 with appellants on the 2002 Plan, as directed by a US Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals Opinion. 2015 Oregon Greater Sage-Grouse Environmental Impact Statement and Approved Record of Decision
Amended and established new Management Direction and Objectives for all eastern Oregon land use plans, including the SEORMP, with Sage-grouse Habitat.
2023 Amendment Issues
All alternatives address the terms of the 2010 ONDA v BLM settlement agreement for the following:- Future management of areas found to possess wilderness characteristics.
- Off Highway Vehicle area designations
- Livestock Grazing: Permit Relinquishment and Standards and Guidelines for Rangeland Health
