Project Name: Rock Springs RMP Revision

Land Use Plan Information

The process for revising the RMP began with identifying planning issues. Planning issues are topics of interest or concern about existing or potential land and resource allocations, levels of resource use, production, and related management practices. Preliminary issues have been identified by BLM personnel through an interdisciplinary process. The public; federal, state, and local agencies; and other stakeholders were given the opportunity to identify additional planning issues at the open house meetings and throughout the scoping period.  In addition, a series of cooperating agency meetings helped identify additional planning issues.  The issues to be addressed in this planning effort are as follows:

  • Air Quality
  • Climate Chage
  • Cultural Resources
  • Fish and Wildlife
  • General
  • Lands and Realty
  • Livestock Grazing
  • Minerals: Fluid and Solid
