4.7.1.13. Summary of Impacts by Alternative

Management under Alternative B would be the most effective for protecting the values of concern in the ACEC and expanded ACEC area. Alternative B also would result in the greatest restrictions on ROW authorizations, mineral development, and motorized vehicle use of any of the alternatives. Alternatives A and C would result in similar adverse and beneficial impacts. Alternative A includes more prohibitions for surface disturbance on slopes, and more restrictions on fire and fuels and recreation site development than Alternative C. However, the restrictions on motorized vehicle use and VRM classifications are more extensive under Alternative C. Both alternatives A and C would result in similar impacts to the development of mineral resources in the area.
