1.5. Topics Not Addressed in this Analysis

Laws, regulations, policies, and Executive Orders require specific resource topics be examined during the NEPA process. In some cases, initial evaluation identifies topics not relevant to the Planning Area or that do not require further analysis.

The initial evaluation for this RMP and EIS identified prime and unique farmlands as a topic that does not need further analysis. In accordance with the Farmland Protection Policy Act, the BLM determined that no prime or unique farmlands or farmland of statewide or local importance occur on public lands in the Planning Area. None of the actions proposed would disturb farmlands. Therefore, the Bighorn Basin RMP Revision Project planning process does not analyze impacts to prime and unique farmlands.
