BLM planning policies require that the BLM review approved or adopted resource plans of other federal, state, local, and tribal governments and, when practicable, be consistent with those plans. If the other agencies, tribes, and/or governments do not have officially approved or adopted resource-related plans, then the land use plan must, to the maximum extent practicable, be consistent with their officially approved and adopted resource-related policies and programs.
