The Canyon Rims Travel Management area covers approximately 90,954 acres of BLM managed lands in northern San Juan County, Utah. The BLM has developed a map with existing route information regarding trails, routes, and roads within this area to assist with public feedback. Scoping comments should focus on developing a motorized transportation system for the Canyon Rims Travel Management Area. Multiple resources will be analyzed in relation to travel and transportation management, including recreation, cultural resources and Native American concerns, wildlife and fisheries habitat, soils and water quality, and wilderness characteristics. Additional information, issues, or resource concerns received during the Scoping Period will be used in developing an Environmental Assessment. Scoping input is most effective when it provides unbiased information, evidence and other supporting additional documentation.
