Project Description:
Ruby Pipeline Co. submitted an application to amend their ROW to include the following. The project consists of installation of a CPS within the existing Ruby Pipeline ROW in Humboldt County. The project will involve drilling a 10 in. diameter hole 250 feet deep. Anodes with wires attached would be placed in the hole which would then be backfilled. The wires would be connected to a 4-6 ft high cylinder style test station. The test station would be powered by propane stored in a 300 gallon propane tank. The tank and test station would be set on a concrete pad and fenced with a chain link fence (approximately 20 ft x 10 ft). All facilities and construction would be within the existing 50 ft. easement. An existing access road, measuring 2850 ft long and 10 ft wide would be used for construction and maintenance of the test station. The access road would not require improvement for either construction or maintenance of the facility.
