EIS Development
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Las Vegas Field Office is preparing and Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Crescent Peak Wind (CPW) Energy Project. The CPW project is proposing to construct, operate, maintain, and decommission an up-to-500 megawatt (MW) wind energy generation facility and associated transmission line. The proposed project area is located approximately 35 miles south of Las Vegas and 10 miles west of Searchlight in Clark County, Nevada. The proposed project footprint spans approximately 17 miles north-south and approximately 11 miles east-west. A 230 kilovolt (kV) transmission line would connect the proposed project to the GridLiance electrical system near Jean, Nevada or in the Eldorado Valley near Boulder City, Nevada.
