Blue Valley Land Exchange
Draft Environmental Impact Statement

The Kremmling Field Office (KFO) in northern Colorado has released a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) on the proposed Blue Valley Land Exchange for a public review period.  Under the proposed land exchange, 1,489 acres of BLM-managed land would be conveyed from Federal ownership to the Blue Valley Ranch (BVR) in exchange for 1,832 acres of non-Federal lands. The BLM’s Feasibility Analysis found that the land exchange would consolidate Federal lands to improve public access and increase big-game winter range on public land. . After completing the EIS process, the BLM will determine whether the exchange is in the public’s interest.
