Decision Record Issued
The Bureau of Land Management, Carson City District, Stillwater Field Office (BLM), has issued a Final Decision for the Cow Canyon, Clan Alpine, and Dixie Valley Allotments Landscape Project EA #DOI-BLM-NV-C010-2015-0004-EA.

The Final Environmental Assesment was revised for clarification and removal of wild horse management as proposed actions based on public comments received.  Any  proposed wild horse management in these areas would be analyzed at the time they are proposed under site-specific environmental analysis in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act.

The Final Environmental Analysis analyzed seven (7) alternatives that include proposals for livestock grazing permit renewals, range improvements, community mineral material pit designation, invasive, nonnative and noxious weed treatments, interim visual resource management class establishment and adaptive management.  The alternatives include options for changes in season of use proposals, reductions in livestock numbers proposals, a no grazing alternative and the no action alternative (status quo).

The Environmental Assessment was available for public review and comment from August 26, 2016 through September 26, 2016.
The Proposed Decision Record and Finding of No Significant Impact were signed on March  16, 2017.
No protests were received on the Proposed Decision and in accordance with Title 43 Code of Federal Regulations, Section 4160.3(b) the Proposed Decision became the final decision.
