Decision
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Sierra Front Field Office has prepared the Bently Land Acquisition Project, FinalEnvironmental Assessment DOI-BLM-NV-C020-2018-0020-EA and signed the Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) and Decision Record.   The EA analyzed the direct, indirect, and cumulative effects of the acquisition of 14,522 acres of environmental sensitive lands owned by Bently Family Limited Partnership as part of the Southern Nevada Public Lands Management Act (SNPLMA) Round 15 nominations.
 
The land proposed to be acquired in fee is located in the Pine Nut Mountain Planning Management Unit of the Bi-State Action Plan, would consolidate federal ownership and management for the protection of Bi-State Sage Grouse Habitat, cultural resources, riparian areas, and other wildlife habitat, and improve public access. The parcels proposed for acquisition are located in Douglas, Carson City and Lyon Counties, Nevada.
