How to get Involved

On Feburary 2, 2018, the BLM issued a Notice of Intent initiating a 45-day public scoping period on the DRECP, which covers about 10.8 million acres of BLM-managed public land. The public is encouraged to provide input on how land designations identified as part of the DRECP process might affect development of solar, wind or other renewable energy resources. The comments will be used to help set the parameters, or scope, of the review of the land use plans.

Comments may be sent to the BLM-California State Director, 2800 Cottage Way, Rm W-1623, Sacramento, CA 95825; submitted electronically to BLM_CA_DRECP@blm.gov; or submitted through this page by clicking on the "Documents & Reports" link in column on the left side of this page and commenting on the "Notice of Intent."

All comments will be accepted in writing for 45 days after the publication of the notice in the Federal Register or 15 days after the last public meeting, whichever is later.  The dates and locations of any scoping meetings will be announced at least 15 days in advance through local news media, newspapers and the BLM website: https://www.blm.gov/california/drecp.
