 Planning Schedule

1) Initiate planning effort / public scoping

July 18, 2013:  Publish Notice of Intent in the Federal Register
July 18, 2013 - January 17, 2014:  Public Scoping Period
2014:  Areas of Critical Environmental Concern (ACEC) Nomination Period

2) Inventory and Data Collection
2013-2014:  Gather and analyze new data for the Draft RMP/EIS
2013-2014:  Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data collection

3) Analysis of the Management Situation
2013-2014:  Describe existing situation, current management, and opportunities for change

4) Formulate Alternatives
2015:  Preliminary Alternatives Outreach Period
2015-2016:  Formulate a range of alternatives to analyze in the Draft RMP/EIS

5) Draft Resource Management Plan / Environmental Impact Statement
2017:  Release Draft RMP/EIS for public reivew and comment
2017:  Host public meetings and ANILCA 810 Hearings
2017-2018:  Analyze public comments and prepare Proposed RMP/ Final EIS

6) Proposed Resource Management / Final Environmental Impact Statement
2018-2019:  Release Proposed RMP/ Final EIS
2018-2019:  Initiate Governor's Consistency Review
2018-2019:  30-day Protest Period

7) Record of Decision and Approved RMP
2019:  Issue Record of Decision and Approved Resource Management Plan
