PUBLIC MEETINGS
The Dominguez-Escalante Advisory Council held its final meeting on January 8, 2018. The BLM would like to thank all of the community members who served on the Advisory Council over the years for their service to the public and the land. The Council met 42 times and held four field trips over eight years. Each meeting was open to the public and included comment periods. The engagement of the Council and the public really helped the BLM understand the community's vision for this special place so that we could craft a plan that meets the needs of the community.

Why did the BLM write an RMP for the D-E NCA?
To ensure that the long-term management of these lands achieves a level of protection and conservation consistent with legislative guidance.
How will the BLM use the RMP?
The RMP will guide the BLM's management of all facets of the D-E NCA for the next several decades. This includes land use decisions regarding biological resources, cultural resources, wilderness, recreation, travel management, livestock grazing, and special designations such as wild and scenic rivers.
