Final Environmental Assessment and Decision Record Released
The Bureau of Land Management released the following on May 15, 2019:
1. Final Environmental Assessment (EA) that analyzes the potential environmental effects of renewing the leases with updated terms and conditions that are more protective of the environment
2. Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI)
3. Decision Record (DR)

The leases are located in the Rainy River Watershed, near the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. The EA includes the stipulations applied to the renewed leases, an analysis of public comments received, and the lease forms. All of these documents can be found by clicking Documents on the left side of this page.
