The Bureau of Land Management has opened a 30-day public comment period on the significant changes in Alternative E (Preferred Alternative) and their effects on the greater sage-grouse.

This comment period will end on August 24, 2026. Comments will not be considered after the close of the comment period.

• There will be no new protest period.
• There will be no public meetings.
• The Bureau of Land Management is not required to wait 30-days after the conclusion of this comment period to issue the Record of Decision for this project.
• The Bureau of Land Management will publish responses to substantive comments with the Record of Decision. Substantive comments would be on changes to management directions and land use allocation for major rights-of-ways in Alternative E (Preferred Alternative) and their effects on the greater sage-grouse.
