The Delta Wild and Scenic River Watershed originates south of the Denali Highway and includes all of the Upper and Lower Tangle Lakes, the Tangle River, and the Delta River. The Delta River drains north through the Alaska Range, eventually joining the Tanana River and emptying into the Yukon River.

Project Description

American River Conservancy proposes to build a new trail extension from the existing Acorn Creek trail which would connect to the existing South Fork American River trail through the Pine Hill Preserve. There would be approximately 100 feet of new trail constructed on BLM land. 

No heavy equipment would be used. Brush would be cut using hand tools and chainsaws to open a trail corridor, root balls may be dug out of the soil to create a level trail tread.

Pursuant to Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (36 CFR § 800):  Preliminary determination of no historic properties affected.
