Project Description

The purpose of this project is to reintroduce Foothill yellow-legged frog (FYLF) into tributaries of the Merced River.  These reintroductions will improve diversity and increase resilience of the species.  The Southern Sierra FYLF distinct population segment (DPS) is listed as endangered by the US Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS).  The need is recovery of FYLF DPS within the Merced River watershed.
