Project Description

The Upper Willamette Field Office of the Northwest Oregon District designed the Fallback Timber Management Project to meet management direction to manage lands allocated as Harvest Land Base for sustained yield timber production. The Fallback Project area was designed by the BLM for forest conditions (e.g., age class distribution at the watershed scale, basal area, species distribution, tree density) that warrant silvicultural treatments, existing transportation system, economics, and administrative access.
