Project Description

Purpose: In compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA), as amended, and the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) regulations' (40 Code of Federal Regulations [CFR] §1505.1) mandate, the purpose of this Environmental Assessment (EA) is to analyze and describe potential direct, indirect, and cumulative effects on the human environment associated with leasing 5.6 acres of BLM-administered mineral resources in Dewey County, Oklahoma (i.e., the proposed Federal action) in response to public Expression of Interest (EOI) to lease Federal oil and gas mineral resources through a competitive leasing process.
