Project Description

The Upper Willamette Field Office is proposing to issue a Right-of-Way (ROW) to Douglas Services, a telecommunications company, to permit installation fiber optic utility lines, in a combination of underground and aerial installation on existing utility poles owned by the Emerald People’s Utility District.  The action would include the installation of approximately 4,000 feet of fiber on existing poles and burying approximately 440 feet of fiber optic lines on 0.4 acre of BLM-administered land adjacent to Marcola Road, approximately 4.0 miles north of the community of Wendling and approximately 7.3 miles south of the community of Holley, in the vicinity of the intersection of Marcola Road and Mohawk River Road.
