Project Description

The Proposed Action would be to offer 21 lease parcels of Federal minerals for oil and gas leasing, in McKenzie County (1 lease parcel), Divide County (1 lease parcel), and Bowman County (19 lease parcels) in conformance with the existing lands use planning decisions.  The terms and conditions of the standard federal lease and federal regulations would apply to the parcels offered for sale.  As required by law, the BLM MT/Dakotas conducts four Competitive Oil and Gas Lease Sales per year.  The sales are rotated among the Districts and Field Offices based on Expressions of Interest and workload capacity.
